On this historic occasion of immense faith, joy and happiness, a public holiday should be observed in the entire state including educational institutions and government offices. Also, liquor shops etc. should remain closed.

In view of the upcoming festivals, the Chief Minister reviewed the preparations with senior government level officials including Police Commissioners, Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police on Tuesday regarding strong law and order and facilities for the devotees and issued necessary guidelines in the larger public interest.
