Today, the UAE’s Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) officially announced the holidays for Eid Al-Ittihad—now known as UAE National Day.

According to the decision, December 1 (Monday) and December 2 (Tuesday) will be two days of paid public holiday for government employees. All public sector offices will resume normal operations on December 3 (Wednesday).

The holiday was originally scheduled for December 2–3, but under Cabinet Resolution No. 27 (2024), December 1–2 was finalized to combine non-Eid holidays with the weekend. This change has provided people with a longer weekend.
