There is a wave of mourning around the world due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain. Bollywood celebs have also expressed grief over the death of Elizabeth II. The death of the queen is said to be the end of an era.

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96. She was ill for some time. The Queen breathed her last at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. People around the world are saddened by the death of Elizabeth II. Bollywood celebs have also expressed grief over the death of Elizabeth II.

Celebs have described the death of the Queen as the end of an era. Bollywood beauty Sushmita Sen tweeted and wrote – What a wonderful and celebrated life. She loved colors and lived every shade in her life, in a single lifetime…May her soul rest in peace. Describing it as the end of an era, Riteish Deshmukh wrote – Even in difficult times, the queen did not lose her dignity. This is a really sad day. My condolences to the people of the UK and the Royal Family.

Celebs have described the journey of Queen Elizabeth II as inspiring. Apart from Bollywood, Hollywood celebs have also mourned the death of the Queen. Paris Heltin described Elizabeth II as an inspirational woman. PM Narendra Modi also tweeted and called the Queen’s death sad. Her leadership was described as inspirational.

 

Elizabeth II held the throne for 70 years

According to the Royal Family, the Queen had a problem with episodic mobility. Due to which she had difficulty in standing and sitting. Elizabeth II was the longest reigning monarch of Britain. Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne of Britain at the age of just 25. The Queen was also the oldest woman to hold power in Britain. She was born in the year 1926. She held the throne for 70 years. During this she saw the tenure of 14 Prime Ministers of Britain and also appointed the 15th Prime Minister Liz Truss. After the death of Elizabeth II, her eldest son Charles was made King of Britain. Charles is 73 years old.
