Indian Railway Jobs: Railways has made preparations to crack down on the employees coming late to the office and leaving early. Railway has issued a strict warning for such employees. Railway has said in the order that the employees should reach the office at 9 am or else they will be given casual leave of half a day. Not only this, their salary can also be deducted. According to the order of the Railway Board, average salary will be given every day for coming late. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who have become habitual of coming late and leaving early.

Early goers also got a warning

According to media reports, the employees who leave the office early have also received a warning. Earlier this month, an order was issued, in which the Railway Board said that there has been a significant reduction in the percentage of both officers and employees and staff coming to office on time, which has been taken very seriously.

Let us tell you that in the year 2014, Aadhaar based biometric system was introduced to record the attendance of the officers working in the board’s offices.

After this, in the years 2016 and 2017, the supervisor was asked to come to the office on time and monitor the biometric attendance system properly. Not only this, the Division Officers and Executive Directors were told to ensure timely attendance of the officers and employees working under them.

What did the railway say in its order

It was said in the order, all the employees have to stay in the office from 9 am to 5.30 pm on working days. There will be lunch time of half an hour from 1 to 1.30 in the afternoon. All the employees are expected to go to their seats and workplace at 9 am. Apart from this, the officers should ensure that the employees working under them come to the office on time.

According to the order, if every employee comes late every day, then his casual leave of half day will be deducted. Coming late by one hour only twice every month will be forgiven. Apart from deducting casual leave, disciplinary action will be taken against railway employees who come late. Apart from this, those who leave the office early will also be treated at par with those who come late.
