Railway Ticket Booking Koderma News Railway has taken this decision to reduce the cash payment during the Corona period. There will be a discount on booking tickets reserved till June 12, 2022. Earlier, the concession was announced only on the booking of reserved tickets online.
Railways is promoting online payments as well as UPI (Unified Payments Interface) payments to reduce cash payments during the Corona transition period. Now the payment of booking of reserved tickets at the railway counter through UPI will get a discount of five percent. That is, five percent less than the fixed fare will be charged. In this regard, a circular has been issued by the Railway Board to the General Managers of all the zones.
The GM i.e. General Manager has sent an order to the Railway Managers of all the divisions that 5% discount should be given on the payment of reserved tickets through UPI. This facility will be available on travel till June 12 next year. Rajesh Kumar, CPRO of East-Central Railway said that earlier it was announced to give a concession of five percent on the booking of reserved tickets online.
Taking a step further, Railways has now decided to promote payment through UPI to avoid cash payment during Corona transition. Under this, any passenger can take a reserved railway ticket from any reserved ticket counter by paying through UPI. BHIM app is also being promoted under UPI. On payment through UPI, the passengers will be given concession to all the passengers taken on that PNR. It will be included in the entire amount.
