1 April 2024 Weather Upates: The weather has taken a turn again. There are chances of rain from UP to West Bengal and Northeast. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued an orange alert for rain in Northeast India. According to the forecast, there is a possibility of lightning in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim due to light to moderate rain and snowfall in the next 24 hours. At the same time, light to moderate rain may occur in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Heavy rain may also be seen at some places. At the same time, rain with thunder and lightning is also forecast in Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.
Delhi’s climate
Talking about the weather of Delhi, the heat here has made people miserable. On Sunday, the maximum temperature recorded in Delhi was 35.2 degrees Celsius, which was one degree Celsius above the average. Humidity also remained between 85 percent and 27 percent. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy weather and strong winds today. Today the maximum temperature is likely to be 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 20 degrees Celsius.
Northeast weather update
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in the Northeast and has issued an orange alert. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in many northeastern states for the next five days. In view of this, ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. According to IMD, there is a forecast of lightning, heavy to very heavy rain and winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in the Northeast.
Havoc of storm
The impact of the storm has been seen in the North-East. There has been a lot of damage due to heavy rains and storms in Assam, Mizoram and Manipur. Many parts of Assam were affected due to torrential rains. Guwahati’s Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport was flooded due to which passengers had to face a lot of problems. Meanwhile, due to rain, a part of the airport roof collapsed, causing chaos. Due to heavy rain and storm, air service was affected for a long time.
Strong winds increased concern
The storm caused havoc in other areas of Assam also. The impact of the storm was also seen in Mizoram. Heavy damage is expected due to strong winds here. A church building collapsed in Lungtan village in Champhai district of eastern Mizoram and another church building in Sialsuk in Aizawl district was also damaged by the storm.
Impact of storm in Himachal Pradesh also
The impact of the storm was also seen in Himachal Pradesh. Due to sudden heavy rains the wheat crop has been badly damaged. Storm and rain have wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh. It has been raining in Solan for two days wreaking havoc on the farmers. Hundreds of bighas of wheat crop was destroyed in Nalagarh area. Due to the strong storm, crops have been scattered on the ground and about 60 to 70 percent of the farmers’ crops have been destroyed. Farmers are afraid of financial crisis due to loss of crops and are demanding compensation from the state government.
