Rainfall Update: Heavy rain alert in Maharashtra-Karnataka, know the weather across the country

According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on June 9, heatwave is expected in some places of Punjab, eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. At the same time, due to monsoon, heavy rains are expected in Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Assam and Meghalaya.

Many states of North India are still in the grip of severe heat. According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on June 9, heatwave is expected in some places of Punjab, eastern Uttar Pradesh, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. At the same time, due to monsoon, heavy rains are expected in Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Assam and Meghalaya.

Delhi weather

The havoc of heat in Delhi is not taking the name of stopping. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert in Delhi from June 10 to 12. During this time, movement of clouds may remain and the period of strong winds will continue.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Delhi this entire week can remain between 43 to 46 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to remain between 30 to 32 degree Celsius.

Weather condition of the country

According to weather forecast agency Skymet, during the next 24 hours, heavy to very heavy rains are expected at some places along with moderate rains in coastal Karnataka, southern Madhya Maharashtra and southern Konkan and Goa. At the same time, light to moderate rains are expected at some places along with heavy rains in some parts of Kerala, Lakshadweep, Marathwada and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Apart from this, light to moderate rain may occur in Sikkim, Northeast India, Southern Interior Karnataka, Northern Interior Karnataka and parts of Tamil Nadu. Light rain is expected in Odisha, South Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and parts of Western Himalayas.

On the other hand, thunderstorms may occur along with dust storm in some parts of Western Rajasthan, Eastern Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. Light rain is expected in Delhi and surrounding areas along with dust storm. Heat wave conditions may occur in some areas of Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Odisha.

Weather activities of the country

According to weather forecast agency Skymet, the northern limit of monsoon is passing through 16.5N/60E, 16.5N/65E, 16 degrees E/70 degrees North Goa (Mormungao), Narayanpet, Narsapur, 17E/85N, 19.5E/88N, 21.5E/90N, 23E/89.5N and Islampur.

At the same time, conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of central Arabian Sea, some more parts of Maharashtra (Mumbai), Telangana, remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of South Chhattisgarh and South Odisha, remaining parts of West Central and some more parts of northwest Bay of Bengal during next 2 days.
