According to the Meteorological Department, hail may fall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on April 18 and 19. Apart from this, heat wave alert has been issued in Telangana, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Konkan-Goa, Saurashtra-Kutch today i.e. from April 17 to April 20.
Rainfall Update: Different weather patterns are being seen in the country. There is hailstorm in some states of North India while heat wave conditions prevail in the southern states. According to the Meteorological Department, hailstorm may occur in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on April 18 and 19. Apart from this, heat wave alert has been issued in Telangana, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Konkan-Goa, Saurashtra-Kutch today i.e. from April 17 to April 20.
IMD has attributed the change in weather to western disturbance, due to which different forms of weather are being seen in different states of India.
It will rain in these states
According to IMD, there are chances of rain and thundershowers in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram tonight. There may be heavy rain in Kerala on 18th April. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light to heavy rain in Delhi on 18, 19, 20 April.

According to IMD, there is a hailstorm alert in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on April 18 and 19.
Heat wave will prevail in these states
According to IMD, there is a possibility of heat wave conditions at different places in Telangana during April 17 and 18, 2024. There is a possibility of heat wave at different places in Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal on April 16-20, 2024. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heat wave at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on April 17 and 18, 2024.
