Rajasthan: Lockdown implemented from today to May 3, know what will open and what will remain closed

In view of the ever increasing corona infection cases in Rajasthan, the Gehlot government has imposed a lockdown from April 19 to May 3 today.

In view of the ever increasing corona infection cases in Rajasthan, the Gehlot government has imposed a lockdown from April 19 to May 3 today. The Gehlot government has named this lockdown as ‘Public Discipline Fortnight’. During lockdown all other services will remain closed except those required.

In Rajasthan, there is a continuous increase in the cases of corona infection, to put a brake on it, the Government of Rajasthan has put a lockdown in the state for 15 days i.e. from April 19 to May 03. During this time, all government offices except the essential services will remain closed. Markets, malls, theaters and restaurants will remain closed. There will be a discount for home delivery. There is no migration of laborers, so construction work will continue. Industries are also exempted from lockdown.




Explain that in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday evening, the ministers had suggested to put a lockdown in Rajasthan. After this decision, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has taken this decision.

These services will remain operational during public discipline fortnight

  • The offices and institutions associated with the essential services of the Central
  • Government will remain open, employees will be allowed to go with the identity card.
    People coming from bus stand, railway station, metro station, airport will be allowed to travel on showing travel tickets.
  • Passengers coming to the state will have to show the RT PCR test report done within 72 hours of starting the journey.
  • Pregnant women and patients will be exempted for consultation of health services.
  • Doctors of private and government hospitals, nursing staff, paramedical and other medical services will continue
  • Vegetables, fruits, milk, grocery items can be sold in bulk through shops till 5 pm. On the other hand, those who sell vegetables and fruits on cycle rickshaws and hand carts will be left till 7 pm.
  • Traffic of inter-state and out-of-state vehicles transporting goods, loading and unloading of goods and dhabas operated on national and state routes, vehicle repair shops will be opened.
  • Ravi’s crops are coming in the mandis, crops are being purchased at the support price, so farmers will be exempted. Apart from this, the traffic outside the Mandi complex will be completely restricted.
  • It will be mandatory for the farmers to verify their goods on the way to the market, verification of sales receipts and bills on the way back.
  • People above 45 years of age will be able to come for vaccination. During this time it will be mandatory to keep your ID card.
  • There will be a discount from 4 to 8 am for newspaper delivery. Electronic and print media employees will be allowed to travel on display of ID cards.
  • The activities related to the marriage ceremony and funeral will be allowed following the guidelines issued from April 14.
  • Permission to visit the examination center on showing the admit card to the candidates for the competitive examinations scheduled earlier.
  • Telecom internet services, postal services, courier facilities, broadcasting and cable services, IT services will be operational.
  • Banks, ATMs, and insurance offices will remain operational for banking services.
  • Permission to the concerned persons with identity card.
  • All the necessary items like food items, pharmaceuticals, medical devices etc. will be delivered home through e-commerce.
  • The take away service of the sweet shop, processed food and restaurants will continue till 8 pm.
  • The work of making and distributing food in Indira Rasoi will be done till 8 pm following the Kovid-19 guidelines.
  • National Employment Guarantee Scheme Workers working under valid rural development schemes will be able to come.
  • The services of retail, wholesale outlets related to LPG, Petrol Pump, CNG, Petroleum Gas will remain operational till 8 pm.
  • However, in the meantime, the District Collector and District Magistrate can relax the ban and increase the strictness.
