The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued special information for bank customers. The central bank said that banks should provide this information in advance to their customers, so that they do not face any problem and they should get their work done in advance.

From tonight, customers will not be able to conduct NEFT transactions till 12 noon on Sunday. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that NEFT service will not be available till Sunday afternoon. Explain that National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) is considered an important feature of Internet banking and one-to-one payment facility. RBI has issued a press release. It says that the technical upgrade is being done to improve the performance and regulation of the NEFT service. This upgrade will take place on May 22, 2021 after the closure of business. Because of this, NEFT service will not be available after the end of 22 May from 12 pm to 2 pm on Sunday 23 May.


The central bank has also said that during this time the RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) service will not be affected and it will continue to operate in a normal manner. Earlier on April 18, a similar technical upgrade regarding RTGS has been completed. RBI said that banks should provide this information to their customers in advance, so that they do not have problems and they should get their work done in advance.
