Council President said that smart meters were installed in the entire state without user acceptance test (UAT). Whereas according to the standards, meters cannot be installed without UAT.

During the meeting with the Energy Minister, the Council President said that despite receiving all complaints in the Smart Meter and investigation report of STF, no action was taken against any guilty officer. Council raised the demand that instead of 12 lakh smart meters, quality base meters should be installed. The Energy Minister assured that strict action will be taken against the guilty officers. Energy Minister said that the test of STF investigation report is also going on.

Smart Meter complains of fast running
Recently 73 Smart Meter were reported to be running fast. Out of this, 9 smart meters were found to be moving fast. At the same time, 1 meter weight was found in jumping. That is, 10 smart meters were found to be messed up. That is, about 13 percent meters were found to be moving faster. The council president said that this is a serious matter. Council President said that 70 to 75 percent of consumers have given negative feedback in the feedback taken on Smart Meter.

Pre Paid Connection
