Republic Day 2021: Meritorious students get a chance to watch the parade from the Prime Minister’s box

Republic Day 2021:
CBSE’s 10th, 12th and colleges UG-PG toppers will see the parade this January 26 from the Prime Minister’s Box. Posters of the academic session 2020 and graduates of universities, post graduate toppers will be given the opportunity to watch the Republic Day 2021 parade from the PM Box and also get a chance to meet the education minister. Toppers students will also be awarded certificates of appreciation by the education minister. The education minister has shared this information on Twitter. At least 100 meritorious students will get a chance to watch the Republic Day parade. For this, 100 students have been selected out of which 50 are from schools and 50 are from higher education institutions. Last year, a total of 105 toppers from CBSE and universities across the country got a chance to watch the 71st Republic Day parade from the Prime Minister’s Box.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the number of cultural event participants in the Republic Day parade this year has been reduced to 401 from last year’s 600.

The Defense Ministry had earlier said that a total of 321 students from four schools in Delhi and 80 folk artists from Kolkata would participate in the cultural program of the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath. The cast has been selected from Eastern Zonal Cultural Center in Kolkata and students have been selected from DTEA Senior Secondary School, Mount Abu Public School, Vidya Bharati School, Government Girls Senior Secondary School.

Keeping in mind the restrictions related to COVID-19, the Ministry of Defense as well as the Ministry of Education have organized several virtual programs to mark Republic Day for school students. The ministries are organizing an essay competition, a quiz competition and poetry competition in both Hindi and English languages ​​on the Indian Constitution, the struggle for freedom and the warriors of Indian independence.
