Question is providing Information or not? The real issue is how the Government is going to protect the victim who helped the Government. The corrupted officials are the Government. Political Parties who is/will govern the state for 5/10 years in regular run. Whereas, corrupted officials are the real Government ruling India, since Independence. Hence, Government should come out with clear road map about the protection to protect the victim. Then, victimize can think about informing the truth.

What people say is right. Now a day’s all govt offices are corrupted even though we all believe the income tax department is clean. I had raises a compliant about my X employer who has too much of wealth but cries out loud to pay salary month on month. I never got a response from any income tax officials even though I had marked the mailer to 90% of the officials across India. At last I raise a compliant in the Prime Ministers cell , even though I got a ref number I never saw a resolution. After 20 days I get a response that the case is been forwarded to the appropriate department which sounds unfair to a citizen of India. Case was closed and I was is me to raise a request or a greviance for the same ref number. Yesterday I’ve raised another query now let’s see what happens and how the income tax or Indian govt cell acts on it.

I have information of benami cash in USD in millions. I sent mail to ED but no reply. I received reply on RTI which say they only look into corruption. There is ambiguity whether the informer will get reward or it is just a gimmick. ED is supposed to take interest in benami cash holding abroad. Cash is also property.

Good. Govt already knows many of them. Action should be initiated first against them irrespective of the posts they held and the political party they belong to. Govt should not target common people like it did in demonisation misadventure, leaving the big fishes scot free. Many have rightly shown the concern about leakage of info. We know the plight of whistleblowers and RTI activists. There is no protection mechanism in place to safeguard the lives of these activists and informers. Without adequate measures and systems to protect the informers and to catch the guilty, this system may be rendered ineffective.
