Rubina (Rubina Dilaik) told that once she was very excited to attend the award show. She also bought new clothes for the function. During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rubina said, ‘At that time my show was on top. Her rating was 5.7. I felt that I was going to win the Best Actress award. I worked very hard. You have so much confidence that you know everything.
She further told that she was very badly broken due to not getting the award. Rubina Dilaik further said, ‘I was sitting in the award function and as soon as the name was announced. I couldn’t control myself. My tears were not stopping. I went straight to the bathroom from the front row and started crying.
I cried a lot at that time. I knew it was mine, but it was not given to me. Two days later I came to know that the award was given to the girl who was playing the character of my sister in the show and it was given to the hero because a few days later both of them were going to South Africa to participate in Vikram Phadnis’ fashion show.
Rubina Dilaik further said that then the time came for me that what was the real motive behind putting aside your skills. The awards have been distributed so that other shows can also get recognition. That was the last award show.
At that time I promised myself that now I will not go to any award show. It is worth mentioning that Rubina has worked in many TV shows which include ‘Chhoti Bahu’, ‘Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’, ‘Jaini Aur Juju’ and ‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’. Apart from this, she has also been a part of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 14’ with her husband Abhinav Shukla, of which she also became the winner.
