The Labor Department has issued orders to increase the monthly wages of unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled workers of Delhi. Clerical and supervisor category employees will also get its benefit. Under this, the minimum monthly salary has been increased. Which includes non-matriculation, matriculation and graduate employees. These new rates will be applicable from October 1.
According to the Labor Department, dearness allowance cannot be banned for such workers in the unorganized sector, who normally get only minimum wages, hence the Delhi government has announced a new minimum wage by adding dearness allowance.
Increase in salary every month
According to the new rate of minimum wage increased by the Delhi Government, now the monthly wage of skilled workers has been increased from Rs 20,903 to Rs 21,215, an increase of Rs 312. The monthly wage of semi-skilled workers has been increased by Rs 286 from Rs 18,993 to Rs 19,279. At the same time, the monthly salary of unskilled laborers has increased by Rs 260 from Rs 17,234 to Rs 17,494.
Supervisor and clerical employees will get benefits
Delhi’s supervisor and clerical employees will also benefit from the new minimum wage rates issued by the Delhi government. According to the new rates, now the monthly salary of non-matric employees has been increased from Rs 18,993 to Rs 19,279, due to which their monthly salary has increased by Rs 286. Similarly, the monthly salary of matriculation pass and non-graduate employees has been increased from Rs 20,903 to Rs 21,215, an increase of Rs 312. Whereas the monthly salary of graduate employees and laborers with higher educational qualification has been increased from Rs 22,744 to Rs 23,082, their monthly salary has been increased the maximum by Rs 338.
