What is this sim binding feature
This is a new technology, through which one can log-in to only one device from a registered mobile. You will not be able to log in with any other optional number. That is, you will be able to login from the same phone in which the SIM of your registered mobile number will be there. You will not be able to login to your app from any other phone. If SBI customers try to login from any other number then they will not be allowed to do the transaction.
YONO App needs to be updated
With this new feature, the facility of online banking has become more secure than before. To use it, customers have to update their YONO App. The bank has given information about the new rule through a post on its official Twitter handle. In which SBI has told that customers can download YONO Lite App. This security feature has been added to this app.
Here is the registration process on SBI YONO Lite App
- If you are an Android user, then download the SBI YONO Lite App app from the Play Store and select the registered mobile number in which it is installed (SIM-1 SIM-2).
- If there is a single sim then any sim will have to be selected.
- A message will appear on the screen. On clicking Proceed, a code will be sent via SMS.
- After entering your name and password on the registration screen, click on REGISTER, after accepting the
term and conditions, click on the OK button. - After this you will get an activation code. This activation code will be active only for 30 minutes
- After writing this code in the app, complete the activation process. Users will now be able to use YONO Lite App.
