To change the mobile number registered with SBI, you need an ATM-debit-card as well as an activated mobile number. You can change the mobile number through OTP.

Let’s know step-by-step process (step-by-step guide to update mobile no in SBI account)

1. Login to the SBI website.

2. Click on ‘My Accounts and Profile’ from the navigation menu on the left.

3. Click on the option ‘Profile’ from the drop down menu.

4. Click Personal Details / Mobile.

5. Now enter the profile password and then click on submit button.

6. After this, click on the option ‘Change Mobile Number-Domestic only (Through OTP / ATM / Contact Center)’.

7. Now a new page will open up. Here by writing your ‘Personal Details-Mobile Number Update’ will appear.

8. Now enter your mobile number. After this, enter your mobile number again. After this, click on submit button.

9. After this a pop-up message will come. Click on this message ‘Verify and confirm your mobile number xxxxxxxxxx’.

10. Now click on “OK”.

11. After this, there will be three options on your screen – Internet Banking Request Approval Through ATM and Approval Through Contact Center through OTP received on both mobile numbers.

12. You can change your mobile number sitting at home through the OTP received on both the numbers.


The key in this process is that both your mobile number (already registered and the new number you want to update) must be turned on.
