SBI Customers Can Now Register Nominee For FD, RD, Savings & Current Account Online, Here’s How

Making banking easier for people out there, India’s largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI), has come up with a new update that makes nominee registration easier. Nominee registration for various services like FD, RD, Savings Account and more can now be done online thus saving you from the hassle of needing to visit the bank for the same.

However, if you still wish to visit the bank to register or update the nominee, you can do that too.

SBI, in a tweet, announced that its customers, having SBI Saving Accounts, current account, fixed deposit or recurring deposit (RD), can register the nominees for the same online. To register, all they need to do is log-in to http://onlinesbi.com.

You can also change the nominee by either logging on to the SBI website or via the YONO Mobile App.

How to Access Online SBI Banking?
To access your SBI account online, you first need to register for the internet banking service. You can activate the internet banking service for your account using the username and password, which is made available by the bank in a Pre Printed Kit (PPK), which you receive when you open a new account with the bank.

However, if you don’t want to collect the PPK in person, you can get it via SMS too. The SBI bank, most probably, will arrange to send a username through SMS and a mailer containing the password to your registered address.

Using the details that you have received, login to www.onlinesbi.com. Here, you will be asked to complete a simple initialization process to activate the internet banking service.

What is SBI YONO Mobile App?
YONO app, for the unware, is SBI’s digital banking app that brings an array of online banking services together. With over 34.5 million registered users, the app, in partnership with over 100 e-commerce giants, allows its users the best offers from categories like electronics, fashion, travel & lifestyle, and more.

Also, the YONO app gives you extensive details on loans, insurance, attractive interest rates and more. YONO app also lets customers withdraw cash from ATMs without using their ATM card.
