SBI Launches Video KYC Based Savings Account Opening Via Yono

The video works with the help of KYC based account opening feature, artificial intelligence and face recognition technology.


The account can now be opened at home via video KYC through the Yono Mobile Banking App of Mumbai

State Bank of India (SBI). That is, customers will not have to go to the branch to open an account with SBI. The video works with the help of KYC based account opening feature, artificial intelligence and face recognition technology. It is a contactless and paperless process.

To open an account in SBI through Video KYC with the help of Yono app, the customer has to download the app and click on ‘New to SBI’. After that, select ‘Insta Plus Savings Account’ and enter the Aadhaar details. After the Aadhaar authentication takes place, the customer has to enter personal details and video call schedule to complete the KYC process. After video KYC, the account in SBI will open automatically.
