SBI warns customers – settle this work by June 30, or else the account freezes!

If you are a customer of the country’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI), that is, if you have an account in SBI, then this news is very important for you. The bank has warned its customers that if they do not link their PAN and Aadhaar by June 30, then they may face problems in further transactions.

Actually, State Bank of India (SBI) has issued an alert to its customers to get their KYC done before June 30, 2021. If a customer does not take it seriously, then the bank account of such customers may be suspended after June 30.

For this, the bank has informed its customers by tweeting that it is mandatory to link Aadhaar and PAN. If PAN and Aadhaar are not linked by June 30, then PAN will become inactive and customers will face problems in transactions.

If you do not link Aadhaar-PAN by June 30, then your bank account may be suspended. And then due to the suspension of the bank account, the money deposited in the account will be frozen. That is, you will not be able to withdraw that money. Also, you will not get the benefit of any government scheme and will not get any subsidy.

Apart from this, the bank has appealed to its customers that they can complete this KYC process sitting at home. The government had set the deadline for linking PAN and Aadhaar for the first time in July 2017. Since then its date has been extended many times till now.

It is worth noting that in today’s date, it is mandatory to have PAN in every type of financial transaction. PAN card is required to open a bank account, to open a demat account, or in the purchase and sale of property. Therefore, it is better to get linked on Aadhar-PAN before June 30.
