School Closed: Today all schools will remain closed in this state; CM’s announcement due to heavy rain

Delhi Rains: In view of the heavy rains in Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced closure of all the schools in Delhi on Monday.

Delhi Rains: In view of the heavy rains in Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced closure of all the schools in Delhi on Monday. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that due to the rains for the last 2 days, all the schools in Delhi are being closed for one day.

It has been raining continuously in Delhi for many days. Here on July 8 and 9, the maximum rainfall was recorded in the month. Please tell that after July 10, 2003, the highest rainfall was recorded in Safdarjung. It rained heavily not only in Safdarjung but in many parts of Delhi. Rain water filled the tunnel of Pragati Maidan. The India Meteorological Department says that after 1958, Safdarjung in Delhi recorded the highest rainfall on July 08-09.

Meteorological Department gave information

Charan Singh, head of the Meteorological Centre, New Delhi, said that the intensity of rain in Delhi will be less today as compared to yesterday, but there is a possibility of heavy rains in some areas of Delhi NCR. There is no possibility of heavy rains in Delhi for the next 4-5 days, but there may be light rains in between. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next 2 days. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan for the next 2 days.

Red alert for many areas of dehradun

Vikram Singh, director of Dehradun Meteorological Department, said that the state has received 2.5 to 3 times more rain than normal in the last 24 hours. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri districts today. We have issued a red alert for these 3 districts. People are appealed to move with caution as there is a possibility of landslides. For July 11-12, there is a possibility of very heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kumaon and its adjoining areas like Garhwal, Chamoli areas. We have issued a red alert for these districts.
