School Holiday: Big relief for student! State government declared school holiday due to heavy rains, issued order

The Goa state government has declared a holiday for schools in view of the heavy rains. Schools will remain closed for classes 1 to 12 on July 6.

School Holiday: The Goa government has declared a one-day holiday for schools in view of heavy rains. Education Director Shailesh Sinai Jhingade has issued an order in this regard on July 5. According to which, on Thursday, July 6, schools will remain closed for students from class 1 to 12. The state government has taken this decision keeping in mind the safety of the children.

In Kerala, the rains have ravaged many districts of the state. As per local reports, holiday has been declared for today, July 6, 2023, in all educational institutions including professional colleges in Kannur district in view of heavy rains.

According to local reports, the holiday applies to higher education institutions, madrassas, anganwadis, Kendriya Vidyalayas as well as state, CBSE and ICSE schools. Apart from Kannur and Kozhikode, schools will also remain closed in Kasargod, Palakkad, Thrissur and Kottayam districts.

In fact, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in many states including Goa. According to the weather forecast bulletin, there are chances of moderate rains in Goa in 4-5 days.

Schools will remain closed in Kerala too

Apart from Goa, the state government of Kerala has also issued orders for school holiday on Thursday in several districts. Please tell that IMD has also issued a flash flood alert in these states.
