School Holiday: There is a relief news for school students. Due to heavy rains, the district administration in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi has instructed to keep all schools closed till June 21. If the order is not followed, action will be taken against the concerned school/institution under the relevant section of Disaster Management Act-2005.
The Jamshedpur District Magistrate has also issued an order under Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and declared a holiday on June 20 in all government, private, minority and aided schools running from class 1 to 8. The Odisha government has declared a holiday in all schools of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on June 20 due to PM Modi’s visit.

Schools will remain closed till June 30 in these states
Summer vacation will be in UP council schools till June 30. These schools will open from July 1. Earlier, summer vacation was scheduled from May 20 to June 16. This order will apply to schools and recognized schools under the control of Basic Education Council.
Summer vacation in Delhi schools is going on from May 11 and will end on June 30. However, teachers will have to report to schools from June 28. All private and government schools will remain closed till June 30 in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan.
The Bihar government has declared summer vacation in all government and aided schools from 2 to 21 June 2025. Due to Sunday on June 22, the schools will reopen from June 23 and regular classes will start.
Schools have opened in Chhattisgarh from June 15, but the timings of government, aided, non-aided and private schools have been changed. The state government has decided to start classes of government, aided, non-aided and private schools from 7 am to 11 am by June 21, 2025. From June 23, 2025, classes will be held regularly like normal days.
