School Holiday 2024: There is good news for the students. Due to heavy rains, in view of the safety of the students, a holiday has been declared in all government, semi-government and private schools (classes 1 to 12) and Anganwadi centers in the district in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand today on September 27. At the same time, holidays have been declared in schools in some districts of Uttar Pradesh today on Friday.
The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has also extended the school holidays till October 6. Now schools will open on October 7. After the quarterly examinations, the School Education Department had declared a five-day holiday from September 27 to October 2, but the teachers’ organizations had requested that the teachers need time to complete the evaluation of the quarterly examination papers, in such a situation, all schools including government aided schools and private schools in the department have decided to remain closed till October 6 and will now reopen on October 7.

In Chhattisgarh, all schools will remain closed for Dhanteras on October 29, Narak Chaudas on October 30, Diwali or Laxmi Puja on October 31, Govardhan Puja on November 1 and Bhai Dooj on November 2.
In Jharkhand, government schools will remain closed for Durga Puja Saptami on October 9, Diwali on November 1 and Chhath on November 6.
The Telangana government has announced Dussehra and Badhukamma holidays for schools from October 2 to October 14. Classes will resume on October 15. Private schools have announced that they will remain closed for holidays from October 1. The next long holidays are scheduled for Christmas in the last week of December and Sankranti in January.
