The 2026 holidays will begin in January. Schools will be closed on Makar Sankranti (January 14), Basant Panchami (January 23), Republic Day (January 26), Sant Ravidas Jayanti (February 1), Mahashivratri (February 15), and Holi (March 3–4). Long Breaks for Durga Puja and Diwali

The Durga Puja vacation will last for five days from October 17th to 21st. Diwali, Chitragupta Puja, and Chhath will provide a total of 10 days of holiday from November 7th to 17th.

Instructions to Ensure Studies Are Not Disrupted

The Education Department has clearly stated that schools will remain open on Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, and annual events. Schools will close only after the events are completed. The dates of Muslim festivals may change depending on the sighting of the moon, so a final decision will be taken at that time.
