Schools Holiday: Big News! Schools closed from primary to 8th class, timings changed from 9th; Know when schools will open

Schools Holiday: Due to severe cold, cold wave and dense fog, the minimum temperature has dropped significantly in many districts. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of cold increasing in the coming days. In view of this, schools are being kept closed.

Schools Holiday: Bihar is in the grip of cold wave in the new year. There is severe cold these days in the entire state due to which normal life is being affected. School going children are facing more problems. In view of the havoc of winter, studies from nursery to eighth class have been stopped in schools of many districts. The timing has been changed from class nine onwards. This order will be applicable to all government, private schools as well as Anganwadi centres, pre-schools and coaching institutes. At present this order will remain effective till January 16. Keeping in view the weather, further decision will be taken whether the schools will open or remain closed.

In fact, due to the severe cold, cold wave and dense fog in the state, the minimum temperature has dropped significantly in many districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the cold will increase in the coming days. In view of the severe cold, orders have been issued to keep all government and private schools up to class 8 closed in many districts including Patna. Classes from 9th to 12th will be conducted at different times in different districts. However, their timings will be between 9 am to 4 pm. Patna DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh issued the first order on Friday. In Patna, classes from 9th onwards will start from 9am. After that, in many districts it was announced to keep schools closed on the orders of DM. However, all teachers have been ordered to come to school on time. Meanwhile, Mission Daksh, being run for weaker students, will continue but instructions have been given to take utmost care.

Apart from Patna, orders for closure of schools have been issued in Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, West Champaran and Madhubani districts. In Patna, school education up to class 8 will remain closed from January 13 to January 16, while classes above will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Orders have come to close schools in Gaya and Vaishali also till 16th January. In both these districts, orders have come to run the upper classes from 9 am to 4 pm. In West Champaran also, orders have been issued from January 13 to January 16. The school closure order will be effective till class 8th. The remaining classes can be conducted from 11 am to 3 pm.

Similar orders have also been issued in Gopalganj and Muzaffarpur districts. The order has come in both the districts till January 16. School for classes 9th and above will operate from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. An order has been issued by the District Magistrate of Madhubani to close schools up to class five. There is an order to operate schools from classes 6th to 8th from 10 am to 3 pm. Teachers are ordered to stay from 9 am to 5 pm. District Magistrates have ordered all SDOs, BDOs, COs, Police Station Heads and Education Department officials to ensure compliance with the order.

In view of the cold in Sitamarhi, all teaching work up to class 8 in the district has been postponed till January 16. At the same time, instructions have been given to conduct classes from class 9 to 12 with caution from 9 am to 3.30 pm. Due to severe cold in Sheohar district, all government classes of eighth class have been stopped till January 16. An order has been issued by the DM in this regard.
