Changes have been made in all the schools of Haryana. All schools in the state will open with a delay of 2 hours on 16th April. Durga Ashtami is on Tuesday, hence this decision has been taken by the department. The changed timing will be applicable to both students and teachers.

A letter has been issued by the Directorate of School Education to all the District Education Officers (DEO) and District Elementary Education Officers (DEEO) of the state. In which instructions have been given to change the school timings for Tuesday.
Instructions have been given in the letter that on April 16, school timings will be from 10 am to 2:30 pm. On normal days, schools are held from 8 am to 2:30 pm. But the department has given a relaxation of two hours in view of the festival of Durga Ashtami.
