New LPG connection: The connection which will be taken with Aadhar and address proof will be covered under the benefit of government subsidy. If a customer wants to get the connection soon and does not have address proof, then he will be entitled to this facility immediately through Aadhaar number.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC)’s gas company Indane has announced a big facility for the customers. According to Indane, now any customer can get an ELPG connection by showing his Aadhar card. Apart from the details of Aadhaar, the customer does not need to provide any other document. This can be a big convenience for those taking LPC connection as gas companies ask for many types of documents. Especially it is necessary to provide address proof. Migrant laborers working in cities do not have address proof. Because of this they face difficulty in getting LPG connection. Now they will have the facility to take the cylinder.
Indane has said about this new facility that any person can take a new LPG connection by showing Aadhaar. He will be given a non-subsidised connection initially. The customer can later submit the address proof. As soon as this proof is submitted, the benefit of subsidy on the cylinder will also be given. That is, the connection which will be taken with Aadhaar and address proof, will come under the benefit of government subsidy. If a customer wants to get the connection soon and does not have address proof, then he will be entitled to this facility immediately through Aadhaar number.
How to get LPG connection without subsidy on Aadhar card
Visit the nearest gas agency and fill the LPG connection form. Give the details of Aadhaar in it and attach a copy of Aadhaar with the form. Make a self-declaration about your home address in the form. It has to be told that you live in such a place and the house has such and such a thing. Along with this, you will be given LPG connection immediately. However, with this connection you will not get the benefit of government subsidy. You will have to pay the full cost of the cylinder.
Later, when the address proof is made or own house or rent agreement etc., then you can submit it to the gas agency. This proof will be confirmed, so the gas agency will record it in your connection as a valid document. With this, your non-subsidized connection will be converted into a subsidy connection. However, while taking the cylinder, you will have to deposit the full amount. But later the subsidy will be deposited in your bank account by the government.
This scheme of taking connection with Aadhar card is applicable on all types of cylinders. However, commercial cylinders have not been included in this. This scheme is applicable for single, double or mixed cylinder connections of 14.2 kg, 5 kg. The same rule is applicable for FTL or Free Trade LPG cylinders as well. FTS cylinders are also called short cylinders which can also be purchased from shops. It can also be bought from gas agencies or petrol pumps. No documents are needed for this. This small cylinder can be bought just by showing any identity card.
Advantages of Composite Cylinder
Indian Oil has launched the Composite cylinder. This is the newest product introduced by Indian Oil. This cylinder has been constructed in three levels. The first level from the inside is made of high density polyethylene. This inner layer is coated with fiberglass made of polymer. The outermost layer is also made of HDPE. This cylinder is transparent to some extent, which can be seen in the light that how much gas is left in it. The composite cylinder does not rust and does not cause any damage to the cylinder. Due to no rust and scratches, the cylinder becomes more secure. It is very light compared to the iron cylinder.
