Legendary singer of Rabindra Sangeet Sumitra Sen has passed away. She was 89 years old. Singer’s daughter Srabani Sen has informed about the singer’s death on social media. In his Facebook post, he wrote in Bengali language, ‘Mother left us this morning’. There is a wave of mourning among the fans including the Bengali film industry due to the death of the singer.
Please tell that Sumitra Sen has been famous for famous songs like ‘Megh Bolechhe Jabo Jabo’, ‘Tomari Jharne Niranjan’, ‘Sakhi Bhabona Kahare Bole’, ‘Acche Dekho Acche Mrityu’ etc. Sumitra Sen was awarded the Sangeet Mahasamman Award by the Government of West Bengal in 2012. He mesmerized music lovers with Rabindra Sangeet.
According to media reports, Singer died on Tuesday at his home in Kolkata. She was suffering from sen respiratory problems for a long time. She was suffering from broco pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital on 21 December. However, he was discharged from the hospital after three days. However, after coming home, Singer left the fans and loved ones and said goodbye forever.
