However, the bullet train was previously scheduled to run for 50 kilometers between Surat and Bilimora. Which has now been extended from Surat to Vapi.

The Railway Minister also stated that at a speed of 320 kilometers per hour, the bullet train will cover the 508 kilometers between Mumbai and Ahmedabad in 1:58 hours, stopping at four stations. However, if it stops at all 12 stations, the journey will take 2:17 minutes.
Regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the Surat station of the bullet train, the Railway Minister stated that the Prime Minister was very satisfied with the speed of its construction. Prime Minister Modi stated that the lessons learned from this project should be utilized not only in railways but also in various other sectors. In the future, the bullet train will run between more cities in the country. Several other cities, including Delhi and Amritsar, are being considered. Officials also say that there are plans to connect Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities with it in the future.
