Goa government gave opportunity

The Goa government has announced three special trains from the coastal state of Goa to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh to provide free travel to the devotees for the purpose of participating in the Maha Kumbh. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Tuesday that the first train will leave from Madgaon railway station in South Goa at 8 am on February 6.

1000 passengers will be able to travel

He said that the other two trains will depart from Madgaon to Prayagraj on February 13 and 21. Each train will operate only between Goa and Prayagraj and about 1,000 passengers will be able to travel in it. State Social Welfare Minister Subhash Fal Desai said that pilgrims will be provided free food and train travel facilities during the journey.

He said, “These trains will reach Prayagraj after a journey of 34 hours.” The minister said that after reaching Prayagraj, the pilgrims will have to make their own arrangements for accommodation and food. He said that the pilgrims will have to board the train to return within 24 hours of reaching Prayagraj. He told that these trains are being run under the ‘Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yojana’.
