There will be no trading on Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday. On this day investors or traders will neither be able to buy nor sell the stock.

During the trading session of April 29, an overall rise was seen on the basis of fourth quarter results. However, banking stocks completely dominated today. Due to this, Bank Nifty reached its new lifetime high. The index had reached above the level of 49,400.

The week had a strong start and the market closed near the day’s high. Nifty Bank touched a record level of 49,473, Nifty rose 223 points and closed at 22,643. Sensex closed at 74,671, up 941 points. Nifty Bank rose 1223 points to close at 49,424 and Rupee weakened by 13 paise to close at 83.47/$.
