Who can take benefit of this scheme
A person between the age group of 18 to 40 years can join this scheme. The monthly income of the person joining this scheme should be less than Rs 15000 and he should not be covered under EPFO, NPS. Along with this, the applicant should have a savings bank account. Aadhar card, bank passbook documents are required for this scheme.
Premiums vary by age
In this plan, the premium will have to be paid according to the age. If someone joins this scheme at the age of 18, then he will have to deposit Rs 55 every month. That is, an amount of less than 2 rupees per day will have to be invested. Similarly, for a person of 25 years of age, this amount is Rs 80. Whereas those who are 40 years old will have to contribute Rs 200. This amount has to be deposited till the age of 60 years.
