Taking LPG connection in free will no longer be easy, the government is going to change the subsidy rules

Ujjwala scheme: If you are thinking of getting LPG connection for free under the government’s Ujjwala scheme, it will not be easy to do so in the coming days. It is reported that the government may soon make changes in the rules of subsidy available under the Ujjwala scheme.

According to the news coming in the media, the Petroleum Ministry is working on the new rules of the Ujjwala scheme and it can be released soon. The central government had announced to give one crore new connections in this budget, but now the government can change the advance payment model on behalf of OMCs.

According to the news coming in the media quoting the sources, in case of taking LPG connection under the Ujjwala scheme, the petroleum company will charge an advance payment of Rs 1600 in a lump sum. At present, petroleum companies collect the advance amount as installment, while the sources who are aware of this matter say that the government will continue to give subsidy of Rs 1600 in the Ujjwala scheme.

Cylinder and stove will be available in the plan

In this scheme of the government, 14.2 kg gas cylinders and stoves are given to the customers. The cost of these two is about Rs 3200 and subsidy of Rs 1600 is given by the government on this. However, petroleum companies pay Rs 1600 as advance, while petroleum companies charge subsidy as installment for refill cylinders.

How to register

It is very easy to register to get LPG connection under the government’s Ujjwala scheme. Under the Ujjwala scheme, a woman from the BPL family can apply to get a gas connection. You can get the information in detail by going to the official website pmujjwalayojana.com associated with this scheme yourself. To register, you must first fill a form and submit it to the nearest LPG distributor.

It is very important to have this in the form

Apart from this, in this form, the woman will also have to give her full address, Jan Dhan bank account and Aadhaar number of all the family members. Later, after processing it, the petroleum companies of the country issue LPG connections to the beneficiary. If a consumer chooses the installment option, his amount is adjusted against the subsidy on the cylinder.
