Ramdev asked 25 questions from IMA

Ramdev had asked 25 questions to the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Monday after being forced to withdraw his recent statement on allopathic medicines. Ramdev wanted to know from IMA whether allopathy provides permanent relief from diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes? While issuing an open letter on his Twitter account, Ramdev had asked the IMA to answer his 25 questions. Ramdev also asked whether the pharmaceutical industry has permanent treatment for diseases like thyroid, arthritis, asthma and colitis.
He asked whether allopathy had fatty liver (enlarged liver) and liver cirrhosis drugs? He questioned, “Just as you have found a cure for TB and smallpox, similarly, find a cure for liver diseases as well. After all, allopathy is now 200 years old. “The yoga guru also wanted to know if there is any non-surgical treatment of heart problems related to this treatment method? He asked, “What is the treatment for cholesterol?” He asked, “Does the pharma industry have a cure for migraine?” Can cure pain, does it have any way to stop aging and increase hemoglobin. A ruckus had started on this statement

The IMA had objected to the video that went viral on social media in which Ramdev has claimed that allopathy is ‘rubbish science’ and that Remedacivir, Faviflu and other such drugs were approved by the Drug Controller General of India for treatment of Kovid-19. -19 have failed to treat patients. He had commented that if allopathy is so good and all-encompassing, then doctors should not get sick. On this, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday described the statement of yoga guru Ramdev about allopathy as ‘very unfortunate’ and asked him to withdraw it, after which Ramdev withdrew the statement.


What has the IMA said in the notes sent to Baba?

The IMA has said in the notice sent to Baba Ramdev that his statement has indirectly damaged the goodwill of the general public towards the doctors associated with the organization. In the legal notice, mentioning it as a crime, punishment and fine have also been mentioned. The IMA has warned the yoga teacher in clear terms that if he apologizes for his statement within 15 days of receiving this letter. Just as the video of his earlier statement was publicized on the media and social media, similarly Baba Ramdev should also publicize the video of apology. Also apologize in writing, otherwise a claim of 1000 crore rupees will be filed against him.
