Actually, LPG dealers have warned that the supply of gas cylinders will be interrupted. Because delivery boys are not coming to work for fear of getting corona virus while delivering LPG cylinders to homes. This may affect the delivery of LPCs cylinders.
The Federation of LPG Distributors of India said that around 500 delivery buoys have been hit by Coron and 50,000 others have been infected across the country. In such a situation, the delivery boys are scared and they are not coming to work due to lack of vaccination. The waiting period has increased due to the delivery boy getting corona infected. In such a situation, customers may have to wait a long time for the gas to be delivered.
The country was shut down after the world’s toughest lockdown last year and the LPG delivery boy was praised as Corona warriors for maintaining uninterrupted supply after confining people to their homes.
Delivery Boy gets vaccinated
According to a Times of India report, a Federation statement said that delivery boys and others involved in the LPG distribution chain should be declared frontline workers and vaccinated on priority.
It has been said in the statement that the delivery buoys visit 65-75 lakh homes and come in contact with more than 3 crore people daily. This is more dangerous for them and can turn them into super spreaders.
The Federation represents 12,000 dealers, or half of the total number of dealerships across the country, and three million permanent and temporary employees.
