A picture of a person is going viral on social media in which it is being said that now he will play the role of Nattu Kaka. However, there is no truth in this.
Let us tell you that last month, actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who played the character of Nattu Kaka in the show, passed away. According to the producer of the show Asit Modi, Ghanshyam Nayak had given 14 years to ‘Taarak…’, it is not easy to replace him so soon.
Such rumours sometimes land us in trouble: Asit Modi
During a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Asit says, “First of all I would like to request our viewers not to believe these news going on on social media. Many times we get into trouble with such rumours. No, we haven’t finalized anyone for the role of Nattu Kaka till now. We didn’t even audition anyone.
Yes, this is an important character of a show, so one or the other we have to replace Ghanshyam ji, although at the moment we are not focusing on it. Ghanshyam ji gave 14 years to this show, he breathed life into his character, it is not easy to replace him. This will be a very difficult period for us.”
Some people are very insensitive
He further says, “To be honest, some people are very insensitive. The day Ghanshyamji died, these people used to ask me to cast him through messages. I felt very sad at that time. One of our members told us. Bichha hai and these people were in a hurry to become Nattu Kaka. I had ignored all the messages. In course of time, we will decide which actor we want to cast for this role. As and when our decision is taken, We will tell our viewers about it from the front.”

The photo which has gone viral is my father’s. He is the real owner of this shop. I had a glimpse of him in one of my videos, someone took a screenshot of it and made it viral as the new Nattu Kaka which is not true.” Let us inform that after fighting a long battle with cancer for a year, Ghanshyam Nayak breathed his last in Mumbai on 3 October 2021.
