Under this, you will get a discount on the payment of train tickets through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). There will be a 5% discount on the basic fare on the ticket payment through UPI.

Ticket will be available after vaccination

Not only this, Indian Railways can decide to travel in trains by taking a vaccination certificate. That is, everyone will have to get vaccinated for traveling in the train. Only then will he be able to travel by train.

UPI Payment

According to the recent order of the Railways, a discount of 5 percent should be given on the payment of reserved tickets through UPI. This facility will be available on travel till June 12, 2022. BHIM app is also being promoted under UPI. On payment through UPI, the passengers will be given concession to all the passengers taken on that PNR. Indian Railways started this method of collecting UPI payments for tickets from 1st December 2017.

Book tickets like this

  • Take the ticket booking form at the PRS counter of the railway.
  • After filling the travel details in the form, give it to the Clerk.
  • Railway Clerk will tell you the amount.
  • Then the passenger will have to choose the option of paying the ticket price through
  • UPI/Bhim as payment.
  • Clerk will help you with this.
  • To confirm the payment, the passenger will get an SMS related to the payment on his mobile.
  • After confirming the payment message, the fare will be debited from the account linked to UPI.
  • The PRS counter clerk will print the ticket and hand it over to the passenger.

Huge jump in ticket sales



The booking of reserved tickets in Indian Railways has increased by 230 percent since the Corona Mahamari was reduced. The reason for this is the relaxation in the lockdown of most states. Not only this, the booking of total seats in Mail and Express trains of Indian Railways has also improved. The total booking of reserved passengers on May 15 was 6.3 lakh, which reached close to 15 lakh on June 7.
