This new pass is very beneficial for those who often travel on National Highways (NH) and Expressways (NE). Here are all the important things related to this pass in easy language:
Validity and price:
Price: The price of this pass is ₹ 3,000.
Validity: This pass will be valid for one year or 200 trips (to and fro). Whichever is completed first, the pass will expire automatically.
Where will it work?
This pass will work only on National Highways (NH) and Expressways (NE).
On state highways or toll roads in cities, money will be deducted from your existing FASTag wallet, so maintain balance in the wallet.
Who can use it?
This facility is only for private vehicles (car, jeep, van).
This pass is not valid for commercial vehicles like taxis, buses and trucks.
How to buy:
You can buy this pass only from NHAI’s website or Rajmargayatra mobile app.
You have to pay ₹3,000 online by entering your vehicle registration number on the app. The pass will be activated on your old FASTag within 2 hours.
Will you have to get a new FASTag?
No, you do not need to buy a new FASTag. This pass will be activated on your old FASTag only. Just your FASTag should not be blacklisted.
How will the ‘trip’ be counted?
Crossing the toll plaza from one side will be counted as 1 trip.
The entire journey from entry to exit on the expressway will be considered as just one trip.
