Toll tax is going to increase so much from April 1, to go on Agra-Lucknow expressway

Toll Tax: From April 1, 2021, those traveling by car on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway will have to pay a toll tax of Rs 5 more (Toll Tax). However, toll tax has not been increased for commercial vehicles such as buses and trucks.

However, toll tax has not been increased for commercial vehicles such as buses and trucks. Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has decided to increase the toll tax. The new rates will come into effect from the beginning of the new financial year 2021-22.




According to the media report, now the car will have to pay 600 rupees on passing the jeep’s expressway. Earlier, the toll tax for such a vehicle was Rs 595. There itself Toll tax for light commercial vehicles, minibuses increased from Rs 940 to Rs 945 and for heavy vehicles, toll tax increased from Rs 3720 to Rs 3745.

25 percent discount will be available

Along with this, UPEIDA has given relief to the passengers traveling on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. The rebate will be continued in the next financial year also. UPEIDA has retained a 25 per cent discount for FY 2021-22. That is, passengers will also get a rebate despite the increase in toll tax. Please tell that more than 38 thousand vehicles pass through the Agra-Lucknow Expressway daily.

All toll plazas will be eliminated from the country in 1 year

Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the government will abolish all toll plazas in the next one year and work is being done on this. Going forward, people will have to pay the same toll with the help of technology as they will walk on the road.

Nitin Gadkari said that eliminating toll means eliminating toll plazas and the government is working on such technology that where you will climb the highway, the camera will take your photo with the help of GPS and where you will get off the highway. The photo will be taken there and thus you will have to pay the same toll.
