These trains are canceled until May-June
According to the latest railway information, several trains passing through the Terai route have been postponed until May and June. This includes train number 12207 Kathgodam–Jammu Tawi Express, which will remain canceled until June 2, 2026. The return train number 12208 Jammu Tawi–Kathgodam Express will remain canceled until May 31, 2026. Both trains are considered crucial for long-distance travelers, especially those traveling from Uttarakhand to Jammu. Due to its stop at Rudrapur, it used to be a major option for local travelers as well.
On the same route, train number 12209 Kanpur Central–Kathgodam Express will not run until June 2, 2026, while train number 12210 Kathgodam–Kanpur Central Express will remain canceled until June 1, 2026. This train was considered very convenient for passengers travelling between Kanpur and Kathgodam.
Additionally, train number 14611 Ghazipur City–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express will remain cancelled until May 29, 2026, and train number 14612 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Ghazipur City Express will remain cancelled until May 28, 2026. The cancellation of these trains will further increase the difficulties faced by passengers travelling to Jammu and Kashmir from Rudrapur and the Terai region.
