UGC NET June 2025 exam: National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for UGC NET June 2025 session. This exam was earlier scheduled to start from June 21 but now this exam will start from June 25 and run till June 29. NTA has also released the subject-wise schedule on its official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Let us tell you the complete details of the exam.
New exam dates and time
The exam for UGC NET June 2025 will start from June 25. At the same time, it will end on June 29. That is, this exam will be conducted in 5 days. Talking about the shift, this exam will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 noon while the second shift will be from 3 pm to 6 pm. NTA has told that the information about the city of the examination center will be released on the website 10 days before the exam.
What is the exam pattern?
The UGC NET exam consists of two sections. Both are objective and multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between the two papers during the exam. There are a total of 150 questions which have to be solved in 3 hours. The first section of the paper consists of 50 questions which are of 100 marks. The second section consists of 100 questions which will be of 200 marks. Except for the language papers, the question papers will be available only in English and Hindi. All candidates have to answer as per the medium chosen in the application form.

2- Click on the link “UGC NET June 2025 exam schedule” on the home page.
3- A new PDF file will open, in which you can see all the exam dates.
4- Download this file and take a printout of it for future use.
How to download admit card?
Although NTA has not released the admit card yet, it will be released soon. You will be able to download the admit card easily by following these steps:
1- Open the official website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
1- Find the link “UGC NET June 2025 Admit Card Download” and click on it.
3- Enter your application number, date of birth, and security pin.
4- Enter all the credentials correctly.
5- Download the admit card and take a printout of it for use on the day of the exam.
What happens by qualifying this exam
The UGC NET exam makes you eligible for various posts, including:
1- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
2- Eligibility for Assistant Professor
3- Admission to Ph.D.
