UIDAI Mascot Udai Launch: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has taken a new step towards making Aadhaar-related services more accessible, understandable, and reliable for the general public. UIDAI has launched its official mascot, named “Uday,” to help provide information related to Aadhaar. This mascot will serve as a digital companion and help address questions, confusion, and concerns regarding Aadhaar services.

Uday will simplify Aadhaar services

The “Uday” mascot introduced by UIDAI will serve as a bridge between the general public and Aadhaar services. Its purpose is to explain Aadhaar-related rules, procedures, and services in simple language. Whether it’s information related to Aadhaar updates, questions about service fees, or difficulties understanding a process, “Uday” will provide people with simple and useful information. It has been developed to enable it to assist citizens through digital platforms like chatbots in the future.

Mascot selected through MyGov contest

The mascot was selected through a national design and naming contest held on the MyGov platform. “Uday” was chosen from a pool of creative proposals received from across the country. Arun Gokul, a resident of Thrissur, Kerala, won first place in the mascot design contest. Idris Dawawala of Pune, Maharashtra, and Krishna Sharma of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, took second and third place, respectively. Riya Jain of Bhopal won the naming contest.

UIDAI’s Efforts Towards Inclusive Communication

UIDAI Chairman Neelkanth Mishra officially launched ‘Uday’ at an event in Thiruvananthapuram. He stated that this initiative is a significant step towards making communication more effective and inclusive for over one billion Aadhaar holders. UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar stated that creating a mascot with public participation strengthens the core principles of Aadhaar, namely trust and acceptance. Through ‘Uday’, UIDAI is moving towards better communication with citizens.
