The age of the woman applying for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme should be above 18 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi first launched this scheme in the year 2016. Under Jwala Yojana 2.0, 1 crore new free gas connections will be distributed.

which documents are necessary

  1. BPL Ration Card.
  2. BPL certificate authorized by the President of the Panchayat President.
  3. To get the subsidy amount, it is necessary to have a savings account in the bank.
  4. A photo ID card (Aadhaar card or Voter ID card).
  5. One recent passport size photograph.
  6. The applying family should not already have any LPG connection at home. Apart from this, it is necessary to have an account with the national bank. So that after cylinder refilling, subsidy money can come in the account. Without this no one can apply.

How to apply online

  1. To apply, you have to first go to the official portal of Ujjwala Yojana at pmuy.gov.in.
  2. After this click on ‘Apply For New Ujjwala 2.0 Connection’.
  3. You will see three options (Indane, Bharat Petroleum and HP) at the bottom of the page ie the option of gas companies.
  4. Choose any one option as per your convenience.
  5. After that fill all the requested information.
  6. After document verification, LPG gas connection will be issued in your name

Relief to migrant laborers

In the second phase, in addition to the LPG connection, the refilling of the first cylinder will also be free. Along with this, gas stove will also be given. If you also want to take advantage of this scheme, then you can contact the nearest LPG distributor. If the resident does not have the certificate, then they will also get the option of self-declaration. Employed people and migrant laborers will get a big relief from this step.
