UP: Generator car of Lucknow Shatabdi caught fire, train departed after delay of 1 hour 35 minutes

Lucknow Shatabdi Train Fire News: The passengers of Lucknow Shatabdi, going from Delhi to Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow, were stirred on Saturday morning when the train’s generator car caught fire. Due to this, the train left from Ghaziabad station with a delay of 1 hour 35 minutes, because it took a long time to control the fire. According to the information received, the generator car of Lucknow Shatabdi train caught fire at around 45 minutes on Saturday morning. Firefighters arrived an hour after the accident, separated the generator car from the train. The train left for Lucknow only after the fire was completely controlled.




Sunil Kumar Singh (Chief Fire Officer, Ghaziabad) says on this whole accident that at seven o’clock on Saturday morning, it was reported that there was a fire in the Shatabdi Express. Immediately 6 trains were sent. It was observed that the fire was located in the last bogie generator and luggage vehicle of the train, immediately the fire was started to separate the bogie from the other part of the train. Both doors were not left open by the fire. The fire was completely extinguished by breaking them. There has been no loss of life.

At the same time, earlier in the Lucknow Mail running from New Delhi railway station, there was a stir in Ghaziabad on Thursday night due to the threat of explosion. It was told that the threat of bomb received on UP-112 was communicated to the Delhi Control Room, but by then the train had departed from Delhi. After this, the Lucknow Mail train was stopped at Ghaziabad Junction in a hurry and intensive search was done. RPF, GRP and the Ghaziabad Police snapped the corner of every coach of Lucknow Mail. Upon confirmation of receiving nothing after an hour, officials breathed a sigh of relief and boarded the train.
