The government has completed preparations to send the money for uniforms etc. to the accounts through DBT. On Monday, the final revised list of eligible students has been sought from all the districts so that no problem of any kind arises during DBT at the last moment. Director General of School Education Kanchan Verma has issued special instructions to the Basic Education Officers of all the districts in this regard and said that they should keep all the preparations of their district complete, the work of sending money to the accounts through DBT will be completed any day in the coming three-four days.
NCERT books will be available to children of class one and two from June 20
On the other hand, under the new education policy, for the first time in the state, studies are being started with NCERT books in primary schools. Free NCERT books have been distributed to children from class three to eight by the government at the district level. Now NCERT books will be given free of cost to children of class one and two for reading. Distribution of NCERT books will also be started among the children of class one and two from June 20. For this, the Directorate General of School Education has allocated funds to all the districts according to the student strength there. Along with this, clear instructions have also been given that as soon as the school opens on June 18 after the summer vacation, the distribution of NCERT books should be started in all the listed schools from June 20 so that this work can start on time and be completed within the stipulated time frame.
1200 rupees are sent to the accounts for uniforms etc.
The government sends 1200 rupees per year to the accounts of parents or guardians of children studying in classes one to eight in primary schools for their uniforms. This 1200 rupees sent through DBT is for the purchase of two sets of uniforms, shoes, socks, bags and stationery.
