UPI Money Transfer: Unified Payment Interface i.e. UPI was launched in 2016. It has been created by National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). 7. UPI Lite

UPI Lite X allows users to transact in areas without connectivity. This is very effective for those areas where there are network problems. Also, if there is no recharge in the phone, then there will be no problem in making payment during that time. UPI LITE X works with the support of Near Field Communication (NFC). UPI LITE payment is much faster than other platforms.

However, for UPI Lite X transactions, users need to be close to each other’s devices. During a UPI transaction, money is instantly transferred from one bank account to another. The money is sent from UPI Lite to the on-device wallet or UPI Lite account.

A maximum of Rs 2 lakh can be transferred from UPI bank account in a day. The maximum limit of UPI Lite is Rs 500. The maximum limit for sending money in a day is Rs 4,000. But there is no such limit set for UPI Lite X.

How does it work

Transactions with UPI Lite X can be completed using the user’s UPI ID or linked phone number by scanning the QR code.
