UPI Payment: Bank account holder big news! Now even if there is no account, SBI will be able to make UPI payment through YONO; know how

SBI YONO: Now non-SBI customers can also make digital payments through SBI YONO. Let’s know the complete process of UPI registration in the app.

SBI YONO UPI Payment: Country’s largest government bank State Bank of India has introduced a new facility to its customers. Now SBI and non-SBI customers can make Unified Payment Interface (UPI Payments) through the bank’s digital banking app YONO. For this, the bank has launched a new version of YONO, which customers of any bank can use to make UPI payments. In such a scenario, account with SBI is not required to make UPI payment through SBI’s YONO.

State Bank of India said that even today there are many customers in the country who trust banks more than tech companies, SBI said . It has a large number of senior citizen customers. Keeping those customers in mind in such a situation, we decided to introduce digital payments through YONO. To attract customers from other banks as well, we have decided to offer UPI payment facility to non-SBI account holders through YONO app. In such situation, SBI account is not required to use YONO now. Using the YONO app can prove to be a big game changer for non-SBI account holders.

What will be the impact on the UPI app?

SBI is the largest public sector bank in the country. It has crores of account holders across the country. In this case, after this decision of the bank, other digital payment apps will definitely be affected. Besides, after other banks start making YONO available to their customers, many will prefer to use the bank’s app instead of the tech company’s app.

Use YONO like this for UPI payment-

  • For this first download SBI Yono app on your mobile.
  • After that select New to SBI and Register Now option
  • Next, select your mobile number with bank account option
  • Next, after verifying the number, you need to create your UPI ID.
  • After the UPI ID is generated, select your bank option.
  • Then you need to register with SBI Pay, which requires you to undergo verification.
  • After that you need to create UPI handle and then select UPI.
  • Then login to your account and set the MPIN.
  • After setting MPIN, you can use SBI YONO for UPI payment.
