But one of the largest private banks in the country has given big information on this. Crores of customers will not be able to use UPI for three hours. That means you will not be able to send money to anyone through UPI. Know which bank is this and from when to when the UPI service will be closed.

HDFC Bank gave big information

HDFC Bank has informed the users that due to system maintenance, the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) service will not work for a few hours on 8 February 2025. The bank said that UPI services will not work from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM on February 8, that is, during this time customers will not be able to send money to anyone from their UPI app.

HDFC Bank said that during these downtime periods, financial and non-financial UPI transactions will not be available through HDFC Bank current and savings accounts as well as RuPay Credit Card.

What is UPI?

UPI is a system through which money can be sent instantly to any bank account. It has been created by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). With the help of UPI, money can be transferred through mobile apps. In the UPI payment system, money is transferred instantly between two bank accounts through a mobile device using apps like Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm. IFS code is also not required to send money through UPI. For this, you just need to know the UPI ID.
