UPSC CSE 2026 notification released, know how many posts will be recruited and till when can you apply

UPSC CSE 2026 notification: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Civil Services Examination 2026. With this, the dream of millions of young people across the country to become IAS, IPS, and IFS officers has officially begun. According to the information released by the UPSC, this time a total of 933 posts will be filled through the Civil Services Examination.

UPSC Releases Notification

The application process for the UPSC CSE 2026 has begun on February 4, 2026, and candidates can apply until February 24, 2026, at 6:00 pm. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the Commission’s official website, upsc.gov.in. The Commission advises candidates to carefully review the eligibility criteria, application fees, age limits, and other guidelines before applying.

Of the 933 posts to be filled through this examination, 33 posts are reserved for candidates with disabilities. These include:

7 posts for visually impaired and low-vision candidates

11 posts for hearing-impaired candidates

8 posts for physically disabled candidates

7 posts reserved for the multiple-disability category

The Commission has also clarified that the final number of posts is subject to change, as revisions may be made after receiving final data from the cadre controlling authority.
